I just tried to save a new document (MS Word), on a new computer. It launched setup when I clicked on the “My Documents” folder. I don’t know why… all I know is that Save As… should not cause something to launch… it should just save the document!
I suspect this, and a host of other issues, are why people are generally frustrated with Microsoft products.
Sigh. And I had time to pen a quick blog post while I was waiting to save a document! What productivity!
I love when people leave MS they find it necessary to bash the products.
Hey, I bashed before, during, and after my tenure there (I caused a great thread on Vista that ran amok in the bloggers and self-host lists!). But sadly, I no longer have an ability to let the right people know directly, so it’s back to indirect grumping.
But hey, since you’re still there, how about forwarding my gripe to the right people? Surely you can’t think what I described is a feature!
